For extruder
drive, we use modern 120 Hz AC motors in the power range up to 22 KW and 87 Hz
in the higher power range. These engines are characterized main drive of by
an increased range of speed control capabilities, especially in the low speed
range and provide constant, maximum torque over the entire speed range. In
addition, these motors are virtually maintenance-free and the costs of their
use are low. An important element of the drive is the frequency converter
(inverter). We use inverters from reputable manufacturers, tailored to the
expectations of customers.
Thrust Bearing
It is a key
element in the construction of extrudercylinder for plastics, it determines the maximum working pressure and
reliability and durability of the device. For an extruder with a screw
diameter of 120 mm operating at a pressure of 400 bar, the force acting on the
thrust bearing is about 45 tons. The thrust bearing must work reliably
with this load for many years. To achieve this, we do not use ready-made
solutions, but we design and manufacture thrust bearings for our
extruders. Our thrust bearings are designed to transmit forces four times
greater than the pressure in the extruder cylinder and are lubricated with
closed circuit oil, which is optionally equipped with an oil cooler. The
thrust bearing cooperates directly with the cylindrical gear, which is
also lubricated with oil in a circuit equipped with a cooler. This
guarantees reliable system operation.
Cylinder and Screw Module
The extruder
cylinders are adapted to work at a pressure of 400 bar. The cylinder is
divided into heating and cooling zones spaced every 4d. The cylinder
configuration is adapted to the customer's expectations. The cylinder is
equipped with a wedge closure that allows easy connection of the head or pump
material and always has a cover made of stainless steel, containing thermal
insulation that limits the possibility of touching the heated cylinder by the
operator and reduces heat loss.
Extrudercylinder allows adapting the configuration to specific materials. The
construction of the worm ensures the possibility of transferring high torques
and axial forces to bearing thrust bearings. Additionally, thanks to a
special mechanism, it is possible to measure the values of these forces.
